Although individuals may, in the short term, be highly distressed long-term sickness absence is not inevitable. We can help with the identification, treatment and onward referral to external specialists. As outsiders; individuals find the objectivity and confidentiality of our role reassuring.
We are happy to accept referrals from companies of all sizes on a contract or ad-hoc basis for the management of short, long-term sickness absence or fitness to return to work. We will provide you with a written health report including advice on rehabilitation and adjustments to the job or workplace to assist in the return to work.
In order to do this, we require you to provide us with all the necessary facts and questions that you need answering. We may need to contact the employee's GP or consultant, with the written consent of the employee.
Although there is no legislative requirement on employers to introduce a workplace Drugs and Alcohol Policy, employers engaging in safety critical work have a clear legislative duty to protect employees and the general public from workers unfit through drugs and alcohol. We use Drug and Alcohol testing laboratories that are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.
